I offer a regular lesson time every week so my students have consistency and accountability for assignments and progress. If you require flexibility, you can schedule one-off lessons.
I offer unique lesson plans for every student, and take into account the music students are interested in learning most.
I host multiple performance opportunities a year. Past venues have included The Trident, Steinway Piano Gallery, Zion Lutheran Church, Community Music Center, Sausalito SeaHorse and Garden for the Environment.
I have limited availability on Mondays through Fridays
I teach exclusively from my home studio in Sausalito, I do not offer house calls

Schedule single lessons at a time (subject to availability)
Payment is due upon scheduling the lesson to secure your spot
Please provide at least 48 hours notice for cancellations
No Shows and Late Cancellations (less than 48 hours) require full payment (I understand things come up and I generally allow one freebie)
If cancellations, reschedule requests and late payments become regular, we will discuss whether it's a good fit or the right time for lessons
Parents must attend the first lesson and are strongly encouraged to attend future lessons
Please enter through the blue gate no earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled lesson time
Bring all materials (music books, assignment notebook)
Please wear a mask or request a virtual lesson if sick
Please allow time for street parking
Please be gentle with Odie the cat, the yard and the piano
Please use email when possible - reserve texting for immediate concerns (running late)
I am happy to offer a virtual check in about progress and concerns once a semester
I love to teach using the Faber Piano Adventures Series - an engaging and modern method for all ages to learn to read music. Depending on your goals, I will likely ask you to purchase one or two Piano Adventures books before our first lesson
I supplement heavily with requested songs and teach students to play by ear, from chord charts & lead sheets
